The Journey to Becoming a Siam Reiki Master: Advanced Courses & Personal Breakthroughs (Part 2)
I want to share my personal experiences to offer a clearer, more grounded insight into Reiki and Siam Reiki for anyone interested in stepping into this practice.
While the DPA (Development of Psychic Ability) course was undeniably fascinating, it wasn’t the ultimate turning point for me. In fact, after completing Reiki 1 and DPA, I hesitated. I almost didn’t want to continue because the immediate value and benefits I perceived weren’t strong enough to motivate me to “open my wallet” right away ^^.
At that time, many of my fellow classmates were eager to rush into the next levels, making rapid progress. From my perspective, their enthusiasm stemmed from the profound value they had already unlocked in DPA and the earlier modules. I, on the other hand, was quite stubborn. I thought, “Never mind, let’s just pause here for a while.”
Fortunately, a wise mentor calmly and quietly advised me to just push through to Reiki Level 2 before making a final decision. And indeed, Siam Reiki Level 2 turned out to be the major turning point of my entire energy healing practice.
As I mentioned before, everyone will experience their own unique breakthrough moments. If you have the financial abundance to follow the universe’s guidance and take whatever course catches your eye, by all means, go ahead! But if you need to carefully balance your finances, my practical advice is to complete Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 first. You can always loop back to DPA and other specialized modules later.
You might feel a bit disoriented when first practicing at Level 2—as I warned in my previous post—but I hope my sharing prepares you for this temporary confusion. Trust that it will naturally dissolve as you acquire complementary skills from other courses.
Exploring Supplementary Energy Healing Courses
Next, I’d like to introduce two supplementary modules that I personally found incredibly intriguing.
1. Crystal Healing with Reiki
The first is the Crystal Healing course—specifically designed to integrate crystals into a Reiki session. The prerequisite for this module is Reiki 1, as you need to know how to combine the two modalities.
However, I realized that it was only after completing Reiki 2 that I could truly see the “essence” of this course. I count myself lucky for taking Reiki 2 before diving into Crystal Healing. Had I only possessed a Level 1 foundation, I probably would have felt that learning about crystals was a waste of time.
To clarify, this course focuses strictly on utilizing crystals in tandem with Reiki for targeted healing, rather than standalone crystal therapy. If you are looking for an academic guide to memorize every crystal type, their geological properties, colors, shapes, and generic healing definitions, this course is not for you. Instead, it is beautifully suited for practitioners who want a simple, tangible tool to amplify their regular Reiki sessions or boost their healing energy when they are feeling a bit lazy ^^.
For that basic need, Reiki 1 is entirely enough. But if you want to take your practice further—to actually “feel” the unique story of each stone and map the energetic currents flowing through them—you absolutely need the depth of Reiki 2, and you cannot afford to be lazy ^^.
As Master Steve always says, working with crystals requires an immense amount of intuition. The healer must feel exactly what is unfolding in real-time, matching the channeling process of a proper Reiki 2 session. It demands intense focus to decode the crystal’s story, understand exactly how it is assisting the client, and isolate the root issues the client is facing. Clearly, when you hold a Level 2 frequency or above, your ability to manipulate energy with crystals becomes vastly more diverse. If you’ve only worked with crystals at Level 1, I highly challenge you to revisit them using Reiki 2 or Master techniques—you will be amazed by the difference.
2. Pendulum for Diagnosis: A Mind-Bending Experience
The second course is an absolute mind-bender: Using a Pendulum for Diagnosis. To enroll, completing Reiki 2 is a strict non-negotiable requirement.
Of all the courses I have ever taken across my entire career, this is the one that gave me the biggest headaches. It demands absolute mental precision while simultaneously requiring fluid intuition. I kid you not, after working with the pendulum for just one hour, I felt like I had completely exhausted my neurons—even more so than conducting a multi-hour quantum hypnosis session! =)))

So, if your plan is to learn pendulum mechanics to ask questions like: “Does he love me? Is she seeing someone else? Will I get promoted soon? What are the winning lottery numbers?”—then this course is definitely not for you ^^.
What this course is excellent for is sharpening your analytical and cognitive skills. It strips away the vague mysticism often associated with spiritual healing and teaches us how to evaluate and manipulate energy systematically, logically, and intentionally.
While other practices use pendulums to locate or measure environmental energy fields in nature, Siam Reiki approaches it differently. From a client’s perspective, if you are battling chronic health issues or feeling deeply unwell, yet medical exams reveal absolutely nothing wrong, the pendulum becomes an invaluable diagnostic ally. It helps pinpoint the issue with staggering specificity: what the block is, how it manifests, when it originated, and what emotional patterns it is tied to.
From a healer’s perspective, you must practice relentlessly with this tool, as it is a direct channel to communicate with your Guides. Once I can swing it with absolute fluency, I promise to share more insights. Right now, whenever I pick it up, my Guides just shake their heads at me ^^.
Enhancing Perception: Aura Viewing and Beyond
Another lighthearted yet fascinating module is Aura Viewing. This course is rarely offered on the schedule, so if you ever see it pop up, make sure to sign up instantly! ^^
The requirement is simply Reiki 1. Personally, I think taking this course right after Crystal Healing creates the ultimate synergy. You get to feel the crystals, see the crystals, and then you find yourself wandering off, eagerly wanting to look at and touch the auric field of everything around you ^^.
I deeply love the sensation of touching the aura of wild grass; it feels as though the blades are dancing playfully against the palms of my hands. I also had some incredibly funny experiences sitting in local cafés, scanning the auras of random passersby. One day, I focused on analyzing someone’s aura but completely forgot to set up my energetic protection. I instantly absorbed their deep, heavy sorrow and felt profoundly sad for the rest of the day. On another day, while happily enjoying a delicious cup of yogurt, I glanced up and immediately spotted a man whose aura showed he was in a desperate, frantic race against Tào Tháo (stomach trouble) ^^.
In conclusion, aura viewing in the Siam Reiki lineage remains anchored primarily in therapeutic diagnostics. We aren’t concerned with flashy, superficial colors or aesthetic patterns. The main question we ask is: Is there an energetic vulnerability here, and how do we heal it?
I’ve also noticed that this module acts as a brilliant bridge for the advanced Identifying Energy Forms and Liberation course. If you take Aura Viewing right after Reiki 1, remember to completely relax and go with the flow—otherwise, your analytical mind might feel overwhelmed. Having a Reiki 2 or DPA foundation first certainly makes the visual transition smoother. It isn’t a mandatory requirement to move up the ladder, but it has brought me a wealth of small, everyday joys. I hope it brings you the same.
New Horizons: Online Energy Modules
There are two newer courses occasionally offered or newly launching in Vietnam that, uniquely, are available online: Energy Protection and Restoration and Extrasensory Perception (ESP) When Touching Objects.
Neither has any prerequisites. The first is an absolute necessity for highly sensitive individuals who suffer from chronic energy depletion, or for healers who still haven’t mastered how to protect and preserve their own life force ^^. The second course trains you to psychically read information, history, or imprints of a person or event just by physically touching an object—a skill that can even be applied to finding missing persons. While I suspect a DPA or Reiki 2 background would exponentially boost its effectiveness, I haven’t personally taken these two courses yet, so I will withhold further commentary. If any of you plan to enroll soon, please share your notes with me!

Facing the Shadow: Identifying Energy Forms and Liberation
Next is a course that many students profoundly struggle with: Identifying Energy Forms and Liberation. Along with Reiki 2, this course carries very strict performance benchmarks.
People in Vietnam often colloquially rebrand it as the “Soul Liberation” (Giải vong) course to give it a familiar cultural twist, but personally, I think that title doesn’t do the sheer scope of the curriculum justice—it is so much deeper than that ^^.
To be completely transparent, I didn’t want to take this course initially. Part of me saw how intensely other students sweated through it, and another part of me simply prefers working with living, breathing human beings. As I often joke: no matter how enlightened a male spiritual teacher is, he still fears his wife; and no matter how powerful a female healer is, she still panics when her child falls sick ^^. So, while some practitioners are drawn to the mystique of the spirit world, my joy lies simply in helping people live better, more balanced lives in the here and now—so that their spouses aren’t so terrifying and their children stay healthy ^^.
Usually, this training is conducted during large, intense Fire Gathering ceremonies under the strict protection of Fire Keepers, or within complex ancestral rituals. These environments are heavy with diverse, roaring energies. Most of my peers who took it this way described the experience as being “filled with fiery, explosive energy.”
My experience, however, was beautifully introverted. No grand ceremonies, no massive crowds. Just the nightly fire at the 7 Stones sanctuary in the peaceful heart of Ubon (Ubon Ratchathani), sitting quietly on a chair and having deep conversations with the Masters. Through this intimate space, the course successfully trained me to identify various energetic forms in nature, recognize the specific entities that can latch onto the human auric field, and master the exact protocols to deal with them.
Furthermore, when calling upon assistance from higher spiritual beings, I could physically feel their presence entering the space—it felt like an unbreakable, unified team with absolutely no separation or ego.
This work requires an iron clad will and crystal-clear intent. As Master Steve sternly warns, “This is not a game.” It also demands high sensory sensitivity because there are moments where you cannot rely on a pendulum. Although this is a mandatory milestone to unlock Reiki 3 (Master level), it is still very much a beginner’s step when it comes to navigating natural, macroscopic energy forms. Many practitioners experience massive quantum leaps in their abilities after this course. Each path is entirely unique, so if you feel the call, step into it with absolute confidence!
The Ultimate Milestone: Reiki 3 – Siam Reiki Master
Finally, I reached Reiki 3 – Siam Reiki Master. Just like Level 2, this was an instantaneous, monumental turning point in my life.
Right after my very first attunement and fine-tuning session with Master Steve, I performed a Reiki session and witnessed a staggering, undeniable difference in the velocity and volume of the healing energy entering my channel. It left my conscious mind hyper-alert yet anchored in a profound, velvety calm. The moment I close my eyes now, I am instantly pulled into a deep, meditative theta state.
I cannot speak for what other Masters experience, but I was, and still am, profoundly satisfied with my integration. I look forward to revisiting and reflecting on this milestone a year from now.

In Conclusion
Every single person possesses their own unique timeline, their own raw experiences, their own turning points, and their own hidden cosmic potentials. The deeper I venture into this field, the more clearly I understand my specific needs and my unique clinical strengths.
From a learner’s perspective, you will likely cycle through these exact same psychological and emotional plateaus at various stages of your life—not just in Reiki, but in any developmental discipline. When it happens, do not panic. Simply observe the shift and focus inward. No matter what technique, symbol, or method you use, this remains, first and foremost, a journey of personal, internal evolution.
From a client’s perspective, you will find that no two Reiki sessions are ever identical. Every energy healer brings their own signature style, lineage focus, and innate strengths to the table. Reiki is a beautiful practice with its own independent reference system and philosophy, completely distinct from other modalities.
Personally, I am not searching for the “one and only right method.” I am looking for an effective, results-driven tool, and right now, I am completely content and at peace with what I have mastered.
Thank you to everyone who has walked beside me, sharing in this joy and these profound steps. If you are exploring Siam Reiki for your own self-healing or aspire to step up as a professional energy healing practitioner, I hope this map serves you well. For those exploring parallel healing arts, I am certain our paths will cross and find common ground on this beautiful journey of discovery.
I wish us all enough unshakeable determination in our choices. Once again, my deepest gratitude to my colleagues, my fellow students, Master Steve, and the higher spiritual beings who continue to guide and support my hands.
